Karma Se7en Review – 2

Hi Guys,

I’m back again with another review of some more Karma Se7en jewellery…

This time I got some new tragus jewellery & I love them all. I especially love the little crown.

It’s a bit of an inside story, but our son is called Theoden – after King Theoden *LOTR* so we always say he’s our little king. Ever since he’s been born, when we sign his name on cards, we put a little crown above the ‘T’, so it felt only fitting that I got this cute little crown as a little symbol of love for my little man. Needless to say, I’ve worn it ever since.

Again, the quality of these pieces are beautiful, they’re really unique & pretty, but are also really well made. I still adore the packaging, I think it’s such a lovely touch & shows they’re sent with care.

I also got this lovely little heart, it’s so pretty & so sparkly, it’s really understated but really catches the light & twinkles beautifully.

Next up is this cute little starfish, I loved the little octopus that I got last time so much, I decided I’d get another quirky little sea creature to go with it…

I got this gorgeous little ice cream stud, I just couldn’t leave it there, it’s so fun! I love that it’s pink too, it really catches the eye & it’s perfect for summer!!

Last but not least, I got this beautiful little dangly dragonfly. I got the dangly heart last time & I love that one so when I saw this I had to get it. (That & the fact I love dragonflies!!)

That’s all I got, I’m made up with all of them & couldn’t be happier with the service this company provide. They really do beat any other online body jewellery company I’ve come across & their regular update of jewellery really keeps you going back for more. The only thing I dislike, is that they don’t do more jewellery, like necklaces & bracelets, because then I’d really spend all my time shopping & there’d be something for everyone!

Still, the quality, variety & prices are brilliant, I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again – it’s definitely worth checking out, because they’re amazing!! 🙂

Comment below if you’ve checked out their website, what are your thoughts & what did you buy?

Also, don’t forget to check out their ‘buy one choose one free’ service!!

Karma Se7en Jewellery – REVIEW

Hello Everyone!!

Last week I got a very exciting e-mail asking to review some jewellery. Naturally, I said yes please!! So, here we are…

Karma Se7en were very, very, generous & sent me some really lovely pieces of (my choice) body jewellery to review. Below are pictures & info about all of the things I got.

First though, I’d just like to praise them for their postage alone, I placed my order mid afternoon & it arrived on my doorstep the next day – amazing!!

They arrived beautifully packaged, *not like other companies that just shove everything in a jiffy bag* these were individually packaged in lovely little pinky / purple boxes (which match the website), with the jewellery presented in cute little plastic containers that fitted neatly inside *swoon*. It was such a nice surprise to see the effort & care put in to packaging the items, because as I said before most other online jewellery shops normally just shove them in a little plastic bag. Like most girls, I’m a sucker for cute packaging, so these guys literally had me at Hello!

*Also, check out the neat little bands that hold the studs in place in the tubs – so awesome!*

I ordered mostly ear-piercing jewellery because that’s where I have the most self inflicted metal filled holes. *There’s a sentance I may never say again!!!* They had loads of options for other places on the body too. 😀

I wanted most of the jewellery on the website, but I especially wanted this unique little thing:

IMG_2267I really loved this little arrow set, it came with the chain studs that are attached & a matching dangly earring too, I think they’re such a lovely statment piece & I’ve been wearing them none stop since I got them! I have quite sensitive skin / ears & I’ve slept in these for two days now & they don’t irritate or bother me at all which is a bonus. Most other jewellery from say, Claire’s (Accessories) for instance normally have to be taken out after I’ve worn them for the day because they make my ears sore, but these are absolutely fine on me. (Not just the arrows!)

*I played with putting the attached ones at the top of my ear but I liked how the chain sat at the bottom of the ear best on me*

I really love these little heart studs too, they’re understated but add a little sparkle to the lobes.

IMG_2293

I also got these awesome studs: (I use them for my tragus piercing but they may fit / are really for else where)

They all fit really well & I think they’re all equally awesome. There was also an ice cream & other cute little studs on the website too, I found it SO hard to choose which ones to have.

I’ll start from the first one there; Three little stars – I have quite small ears compared to the average person, so I sometimes find that tragus studs like this swamp me a little bit, but I was really happy with the fit of these little guys & I love the hint of colour & sparkle that catches the light from the gem stones inside.

IMG_2312Next up is this beautiful little dangly heart with little crystal details on the stud & in the centre of the heart. I think I’ll wear this one most on a night out or somewhere fancy because I think it’s quite elegant & sweet.

IMG_2318I absolutely LOVE this octopus stud, it’s so unique & quirky, I’ve never seen one like it before & it was a complete must have for me. I just love his little blue eyes!

IMG_2328The last one I got was this lovely little bow. There were other coloured crystals you could get but I liked the look of the clear ones the best, I thought it would go better with all of my other selections & is easy to pair with clothing *sometimes I like to be a bit matchy matchy*!

IMG_2304

Karma Se7en have ‘buy one choose one free’ on their website which makes me want to shop there even more, it’s not just a ‘here’s something similar to one you liked’ jobby either, it’s CHOOSE one – so the more you add to your basket, the more you get FREE, yep free. I think you’ll agree, that’s pretty amazing & to top it, it’s the only online jewellery shop that does this. So if you’re looking for some gorgeous, unique & beautiful body jewellery – I can’t think of anywhere better to go, there’s loads of choice, amazing delivery, packaging AND you get to choose more for free, So, it’s a bit of a no brainer.

The website is really well laid out, on the laptop or on your mobile, both are really simple to navigate through & it’s super easy to find what you’re looking for by choosing which jewellery type (body part) or material you would like, or even searching keywords for what you’re looking for. I honestly doubt I’ll shop at another body piercing jewellery site after this little gem has popped onto my radar.

If you haven’t guessed already, I highly recommend you go & take a look. I think you’ll be nicely surprised at the amount you get for the very reasonable prices you pay & the super quick delivery is just the icing on the cake. So go ahead, have Christmas come early to your house too & spoil yourself *or someone else* with some new metal.

Head on over to Karma Se7en & take a look. If you do buy anything, let me know what you got & how you like it, because I’ll definitely be heading back over there soon to get a few more bits! (Which I’ll also probably review!)

WE’VE GOT A PUPPY!! â™¡

So it’s actually been just over a month now, but we got a puppy!!

He’s a cockapoo, his mummy is a cocker spaniel & his daddy is a miniature poodle (a descendant of Rin Tin Tin *apparently*). Either way he’s gorgeous & my little family feels so complete.

We’ve always said we would get a puppy & when a breeder close by said she would happily have us go & visit her pups with no intention to buy, we were made up. I’m allergic to most breeds of dog & while searching we came across cockapoos & I thought they were gorgeous so I was so excited to go & cuddle these supposedly ‘hypoallergenic’ bundles of fluff.

We got there & oh my gosh...they were adorable. One stole my heart right away & after nearly 3 hours of chatting about the pups & the cockapoo breed, we left for home as we’d agreed with no intention to buy. Most of the drive home was spent discussing which or how many puppies we would buy & what we would call them if we won the lottery & I’d be lying if I didn’t wish I could have taken one home with me. The breeder gave us a sock from the crate that the puppies were sleeping in to help me find out how I reacted to them when I got home, which I thought was just so lovely of her. Luckily, I didn’t react at all *with my allergies* I think they must be hypoallergenic after all because I’ve had no reaction whatsoever!

A week went by & lots more discussing & money talk happened. Then the Mr rang the breeder to find out if my favorite little guy was still available. The rest is history really…here he is!!

Above are some pictures of our little pooch, Louis. The first few photos were taken the day we brought him home (he was 8 weeks old) & the others are from a few days ago. He’s grown SO much, but he’s still just as gorgeous & cuddly.

An introduction to Louis will be up on my YouTube channel soon so keep an eye out & remember to subscribe!!

Our Toddler’s Bedtime Routine

It really shocks me when I hear so many parents saying that they don’t read their children stories before bed, or any other time of day for that matter. I wouldn’t have it any other way, my little one loves books & I’m pretty sure that it has something to do with the fact we’ve read to him since, well, before he was born…

When I was pregnant with Theo, myself & the Mr would read to him every night when we went to bed, even though he was in my tummy, we were firm believers that he could hear us & responded well to our voices. Reading books out loud was just an easier way to talk to him, without being stumped with what to say.

Call it chance or coincidence, but the one book we would repeatedly read him, is & has been for a long while, one of his favorites. I like to think it’s because he learnt the rhythm of the words through us reading it to him & he picked up on it when he was out & about in the world.

Theo’s bedtime routine, has been & will remain the same for the forseeable future because it works so well, for him & for us.

He starts his bedtime routine at about 6.50pm / 7.00pm.

We take him upstairs, brush his teeth, wash his face, get him dressed into his pjs & read him 3 – 4 stories (depending on the length). Then he helps his Daddy (or me if he’s at work) switch off his light & see if his dinosaurs & stars have come out (glow in the dark stickers). He gives us both (or again, just me if the Mr’s in work) a cuddle & we ask him if he’s had a nice day & various other questions that only really need a yes or no answer & we give him a kiss, lay him in bed, tuck him in & sing him 2 or 3 songs before saying goodnight & leaving the room, blowing a kiss on the way out. He normally blows a kiss just as we’re closing the door & that’s him down to bed. He’s normally asleep within 5-10 minutes of us leaving the room with maybe the odd chatter after we’ve gone, but normally it’s just silence.

When he’s in a big boy bed, it might go slightly differently – we will probably read him books in bed rather than on our laps, or at least one in his bed so he’s settled, but it’s far too difficult to lean over the cot at the moment, so it works really well with him snuggled on one of our laps. We take it in turns every night to read stories so if & when we have another one, he’s used to only one of us reading & hopefully wont get too picky with who he wants to read to him.

I can’t help but feel without the winding down of a quiet story time, he might not sleep as well, but he’s always out like a light by 7.10pm & he doesn’t wake until between 8.30am – 9.30am & he’s been the same since he was around 5 / 6 weeks old.

So there you have it, our simple yet effective bed time routine.

I’d love to hear your bedtime routines for your little ones & what other things you do compared to me, so drop a comment below. 🙂

Sweet Dreams, xo

Home Decor, Toddler Style.

Hello!!

A few days back the hubby-to-be & I were talking about home decor & I was rambling on about how I can’t wait to move & finally decorate somewhere! The house we’ve been living in for the past nearly two years is rented & magnolia, everywhere. Classic rental property. I actually like having light walls, I love to give rooms a pop of colour with accessories & colour them that way…I find it much more fun. Plus I know if I change my mind in 6 months time, it’s easy to just swap out some wall art or cushion covers for new ones.

Anyway, I decided that even though we only probably have 6 months left here, I’d take the time to start adding a bit of colour, now the Christmas decorations have been put away, so that for the remaining time we’re here it won’t just feel like we’re still living out of boxes. Silly I know, because what’s the point, but I’m a woman & I’m weird, so that’s how it is. 😉

IMG_0956Back to the subject matter….I was looking at different print sizes / canvas’ online because I want to get some of my photos printed out & displayed, (I have so many backed up on the laptop not being used or looked at & it gets me down sometimes) & I saw a canvas that looked like someone had just taken a canvas, put a load of sellotape over the top of it in a random fashion & splatted paint on it. I looked at it & thought, you know what….I’ve got some small canvas’ laying around in a bag that I’ve had for about a year & not done anything with, so I thought I’d have a go, but toddler style!!

IMG_0971

So, I set to work, cutting out shapes from sellotape to make a train, because our little man Theo loves trains. I finished the train with a bit of a gap at the bottom of the canvas & thought I’d put his name across the bottom to fill the space. We covered the floor like we normally do & put him in some old clothes & essentially let him go wild with paints. He had a great time, finger painting & painting with a brush, mixing all his colours & doing what he wanted. As soon as the first colours went onto the canvas it started to look really awesome & the more that went on & got smushed around the more excited I got to see the outcome.

And here it is: *don’t mind his girly ‘craft time’ cover all*

IMG_0986I really love it, I think it’s a great little way to get your toddler involved in decorating, it’s a win win situation really, because he loved it, I love the outcome & it’s something he can look at & know he did. I want to do one for the living room too, not a train I might add, but it’s a great, cheap way of adding a pop of colour to your walls & involving the little one as well. I’ll no doubt post pictures of any others I do, so keep an eye out for that.

So there we go, home decor, toddler style! – I hope you enjoyed it.

Hello Everyone!!

Today I thought I’d just do a little update post for you all to let you know a little about what I’ve been up to in the new year.

To be honest, I’ve not done too much! I’ve started my new years resolutions, which were;

1, Lose weight / eat right / get fit & healthy.

2. Get organised

3. Have more ‘me’ time

4. Try new things…

So, as I said, I’ve already started back on my healthy lifestyle plan, it’s going well so far, but I’m making sure I just ease myself back into it rather than jumping straight from my very *cough* unhealthy Christmas into a super healthy lifestyle again, because I know I would fail myself miserably. *I’m following Slimming World*

I’ve also started to get a bit more organised too, we took down all the Christmas decorations *sob* a few days back & we did a bit of a spring clean at the same time. We’re trying to get everything organised for when we move away this year anyway, so any little things we can throw out or put in storage is a massive bonus.

Having more ‘me’ time is proving difficult, mostly because I’m rubbish at setting aside time for myself, I always find something else to do rather than just relaxing, but as most of you will know, having a toddler & having a house to run makes ‘me’ time a thing of the past. I’m working on it though & I’m promising myself a lovely relaxing bath tomorrow night with one of my Lush bath bombs that I got for Christmas. *well done hubby to be* 😉

Trying new things is a hard one, but I’m gonna make sure I put in the effort to try new things this year, even if it’s food that I swear I don’t like without trying it, or going somewhere or doing something out of my comfort zone….I’ve promised myself to at least try anyway.

Other than these things, I’ve not been up to much…I will, however, be posting on here more regularly (another promise I’ve made myself) so look out for my posts. 🙂

In other news, I’m starting to get my photography page back on the go *click here* so please go & check that out & ‘like’ the page to keep up to date with new photos being added & little treats that will be popping up here & there. I realise it’s pretty blank at the moment because I’ve deleted most of my content so I can start fresh, but it will be filling up in no time…

Hi all & happy new years / eve!!

Are you all ready to see in the New Year tonight?

I’ve had a lovely year this year & I’m even more excited for next year! There’s lots on the horizon for me & my little family, including a big move, the start of nursery for Theo & hopefully a lot of little adventures for us too.

I’m excited to take you along on our journey & I hope you’ll enjoy it too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!
I hope you all have a fantastic evening & make lots of memories in the new year. Stay safe & I wish you all the health & happiness in the world. 💗
