Karma Se7en Review – 2

Hi Guys,

I’m back again with another review of some more Karma Se7en jewellery…

This time I got some new tragus jewellery & I love them all. I especially love the little crown.

It’s a bit of an inside story, but our son is called Theoden – after King Theoden *LOTR* so we always say he’s our little king. Ever since he’s been born, when we sign his name on cards, we put a little crown above the ‘T’, so it felt only fitting that I got this cute little crown as a little symbol of love for my little man. Needless to say, I’ve worn it ever since.

Again, the quality of these pieces are beautiful, they’re really unique & pretty, but are also really well made. I still adore the packaging, I think it’s such a lovely touch & shows they’re sent with care.

I also got this lovely little heart, it’s so pretty & so sparkly, it’s really understated but really catches the light & twinkles beautifully.

Next up is this cute little starfish, I loved the little octopus that I got last time so much, I decided I’d get another quirky little sea creature to go with it…

I got this gorgeous little ice cream stud, I just couldn’t leave it there, it’s so fun! I love that it’s pink too, it really catches the eye & it’s perfect for summer!!

Last but not least, I got this beautiful little dangly dragonfly. I got the dangly heart last time & I love that one so when I saw this I had to get it. (That & the fact I love dragonflies!!)

That’s all I got, I’m made up with all of them & couldn’t be happier with the service this company provide. They really do beat any other online body jewellery company I’ve come across & their regular update of jewellery really keeps you going back for more. The only thing I dislike, is that they don’t do more jewellery, like necklaces & bracelets, because then I’d really spend all my time shopping & there’d be something for everyone!

Still, the quality, variety & prices are brilliant, I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again – it’s definitely worth checking out, because they’re amazing!! 🙂

Comment below if you’ve checked out their website, what are your thoughts & what did you buy?

Also, don’t forget to check out their ‘buy one choose one free’ service!!

Karma Se7en Jewellery – REVIEW

Hello Everyone!!

Last week I got a very exciting e-mail asking to review some jewellery. Naturally, I said yes please!! So, here we are…

Karma Se7en were very, very, generous & sent me some really lovely pieces of (my choice) body jewellery to review. Below are pictures & info about all of the things I got.

First though, I’d just like to praise them for their postage alone, I placed my order mid afternoon & it arrived on my doorstep the next day – amazing!!

They arrived beautifully packaged, *not like other companies that just shove everything in a jiffy bag* these were individually packaged in lovely little pinky / purple boxes (which match the website), with the jewellery presented in cute little plastic containers that fitted neatly inside *swoon*. It was such a nice surprise to see the effort & care put in to packaging the items, because as I said before most other online jewellery shops normally just shove them in a little plastic bag. Like most girls, I’m a sucker for cute packaging, so these guys literally had me at Hello!

*Also, check out the neat little bands that hold the studs in place in the tubs – so awesome!*

I ordered mostly ear-piercing jewellery because that’s where I have the most self inflicted metal filled holes. *There’s a sentance I may never say again!!!* They had loads of options for other places on the body too. 😀

I wanted most of the jewellery on the website, but I especially wanted this unique little thing:

IMG_2267I really loved this little arrow set, it came with the chain studs that are attached & a matching dangly earring too, I think they’re such a lovely statment piece & I’ve been wearing them none stop since I got them! I have quite sensitive skin / ears & I’ve slept in these for two days now & they don’t irritate or bother me at all which is a bonus. Most other jewellery from say, Claire’s (Accessories) for instance normally have to be taken out after I’ve worn them for the day because they make my ears sore, but these are absolutely fine on me. (Not just the arrows!)

*I played with putting the attached ones at the top of my ear but I liked how the chain sat at the bottom of the ear best on me*

I really love these little heart studs too, they’re understated but add a little sparkle to the lobes.

IMG_2293

I also got these awesome studs: (I use them for my tragus piercing but they may fit / are really for else where)

They all fit really well & I think they’re all equally awesome. There was also an ice cream & other cute little studs on the website too, I found it SO hard to choose which ones to have.

I’ll start from the first one there; Three little stars – I have quite small ears compared to the average person, so I sometimes find that tragus studs like this swamp me a little bit, but I was really happy with the fit of these little guys & I love the hint of colour & sparkle that catches the light from the gem stones inside.

IMG_2312Next up is this beautiful little dangly heart with little crystal details on the stud & in the centre of the heart. I think I’ll wear this one most on a night out or somewhere fancy because I think it’s quite elegant & sweet.

IMG_2318I absolutely LOVE this octopus stud, it’s so unique & quirky, I’ve never seen one like it before & it was a complete must have for me. I just love his little blue eyes!

IMG_2328The last one I got was this lovely little bow. There were other coloured crystals you could get but I liked the look of the clear ones the best, I thought it would go better with all of my other selections & is easy to pair with clothing *sometimes I like to be a bit matchy matchy*!

IMG_2304

Karma Se7en have ‘buy one choose one free’ on their website which makes me want to shop there even more, it’s not just a ‘here’s something similar to one you liked’ jobby either, it’s CHOOSE one – so the more you add to your basket, the more you get FREE, yep free. I think you’ll agree, that’s pretty amazing & to top it, it’s the only online jewellery shop that does this. So if you’re looking for some gorgeous, unique & beautiful body jewellery – I can’t think of anywhere better to go, there’s loads of choice, amazing delivery, packaging AND you get to choose more for free, So, it’s a bit of a no brainer.

The website is really well laid out, on the laptop or on your mobile, both are really simple to navigate through & it’s super easy to find what you’re looking for by choosing which jewellery type (body part) or material you would like, or even searching keywords for what you’re looking for. I honestly doubt I’ll shop at another body piercing jewellery site after this little gem has popped onto my radar.

If you haven’t guessed already, I highly recommend you go & take a look. I think you’ll be nicely surprised at the amount you get for the very reasonable prices you pay & the super quick delivery is just the icing on the cake. So go ahead, have Christmas come early to your house too & spoil yourself *or someone else* with some new metal.

Head on over to Karma Se7en & take a look. If you do buy anything, let me know what you got & how you like it, because I’ll definitely be heading back over there soon to get a few more bits! (Which I’ll also probably review!)

Speak soon,

Hello Everyone!!

Today I thought I’d just do a little update post for you all to let you know a little about what I’ve been up to in the new year.

To be honest, I’ve not done too much! I’ve started my new years resolutions, which were;

1, Lose weight / eat right / get fit & healthy.

2. Get organised

3. Have more ‘me’ time

4. Try new things…

So, as I said, I’ve already started back on my healthy lifestyle plan, it’s going well so far, but I’m making sure I just ease myself back into it rather than jumping straight from my very *cough* unhealthy Christmas into a super healthy lifestyle again, because I know I would fail myself miserably. *I’m following Slimming World*

I’ve also started to get a bit more organised too, we took down all the Christmas decorations *sob* a few days back & we did a bit of a spring clean at the same time. We’re trying to get everything organised for when we move away this year anyway, so any little things we can throw out or put in storage is a massive bonus.

Having more ‘me’ time is proving difficult, mostly because I’m rubbish at setting aside time for myself, I always find something else to do rather than just relaxing, but as most of you will know, having a toddler & having a house to run makes ‘me’ time a thing of the past. I’m working on it though & I’m promising myself a lovely relaxing bath tomorrow night with one of my Lush bath bombs that I got for Christmas. *well done hubby to be* 😉

Trying new things is a hard one, but I’m gonna make sure I put in the effort to try new things this year, even if it’s food that I swear I don’t like without trying it, or going somewhere or doing something out of my comfort zone….I’ve promised myself to at least try anyway.

Other than these things, I’ve not been up to much…I will, however, be posting on here more regularly (another promise I’ve made myself) so look out for my posts. 🙂

In other news, I’m starting to get my photography page back on the go *click here* so please go & check that out & ‘like’ the page to keep up to date with new photos being added & little treats that will be popping up here & there. I realise it’s pretty blank at the moment because I’ve deleted most of my content so I can start fresh, but it will be filling up in no time…

Please check out & follow all my other social media – *links are at the top of the page*

Speak to you soon, Kate, xo

New Years Eve Sleepover

Hi all & happy new years / eve!!

Are you all ready to see in the New Year tonight?

Me & my little family are spending the day & evening at Laurie’s sisters house. Tonight will be the first time Theo has ever had a sleep over & he’s having it with one of his cousins in his room.

Hopefully it will all go well & we can do it again a few times before our holiday in May when they’ll be sharing a room together. (I’m so excited for it!!!)

I’ve had a lovely year this year & I’m even more excited for next year! There’s lots on the horizon for me & my little family, including a big move, the start of nursery for Theo & hopefully a lot of little adventures for us too.

I’m excited to take you along on our journey & I hope you’ll enjoy it too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!
I hope you all have a fantastic evening & make lots of memories in the new year. Stay safe & I wish you all the health & happiness in the world. 💗

Blogmas 3 – Going Blonde & Why I Wen’t Back Again…

Recently I started on a quest to go blonde (again). Every so often I get the urge to dye my hair & it’s normally blonde that I settle on. I convince myself every time that if I change my hair dramatically then it will somehow change the rest of me too & maybe I’ll be a new woman. Obviously, this isn’t the case. Every time, I do my hair blonde & I can’t get it the exact shade I want it, so I dye it back brunette…

This time, however, I got it done over quite a long period of time (for me) & in the end, I woke up from the madness I was in & I realised that, changing my hair colour won’t change who I am, or how I do things…It will just change my hair colour. Now, this may seem like a pretty obvious thing to announce, but to a lot of people, it’s how they feel.

So, I am now back a brunette & I’ve not been happier with myself. I’ve vowed never to go back blonde, because it just isn’t me. I feel comfortable as a brunette, because that’s how I was born to be, I may have had bright white blonde hair when I was tiny, but it doesn’t mean that it will suit me now. I know that I will always be a little bit late for everything, no matter how much I plan or try & make sure I’m early. I know I’ll always prefer to wear comfy clothes than get up early every day to pick out a nice pretty outift that no one will see & I know that even if my hair was a different colour, I still wouldn’t have the extra time in my day to style it nicely. I am me & I do things the way I do them, because that’s the only way I can do them (for now at least).

I suppose this is more of a post for me, than for anyone elses benefit, but I just wanted to put it out there for anyone who may be thinking of doing the same – don’t. I wish now I’d only gone a lighter or darker brunette, but we live & learn…

Here’s a few pictures of my journey…(if you’re interested)

Blogmas 2 – It’s a late one.

I’ve been really busy recently so I’m afraid, as you may have noticed, I have neglected my blog a little.

We’ve been getting ready for Christmas & with all the shopping, planning & toddler entertaining, I’ve just not had time to sit down & write a blog. I’ve managed to get a few YouTube videos filmed to be edited & put up, so look out for those soon – I’ll let you know when they’re live.

We’re currently visiting my family for an early Christmas. Laurie struggles to get time off work over the festive period, so this was the best time for us to come & spend some time with my family before Christmas comes. On Friday, we went to Chester, looked around the shops in search of the Christmas markets (we failed to find them until they were all closing!) & visited Chester Cathedral where they had a Lion the Witch & The Wardrobe exhibition. It was a really lovely little display & there were loads of little Christmas trees along each corridoor too, it was so pretty!

Then we went on to Chester Zoo Lantern Magic walk around the zoo. It was a really lovely way to spend the evening. We got our photo taken with Santa & Theo really enjoyed all the lit up animal statues & his lantern.

The bat cave was awesome, there were some really massive bats in there & there was a tiny one just hanging in the little tunnel, it was sooo cute!! I didn’t get a photo because I thought the sound of my camera might have scared it, but I did get a little snap shot of a big one just hanging there. 🙂

I got loads of photos of Theo under one of the walkways which had blue & white lights lining the roof, it was so beautiful & I’ve made up my mind that somewhere in the house we will have decorations similar next year 😉

Sorry for the lack of posts – I promise to be better in the future. (I feel a new years resolution coming on…)

Cosy Nights

It’s official, winter is here. The cold has set in & it’s started to get frosty & stormy. Let’s be honest, we’ve all been cheekily switching on the heating every now & then to keep ourselves toasty & we’ve definitely all dug out our fluffy pjs from the back of the wardrobe.

So, what does one do on these wintery nights? Well, I thought I’d get back into the blogging swing of things by sharing my most favorite things to do when winter sets in.

These days I don’t think any of us are strangers to Pinterest. – I for one, am a bit of an addict & I have been for some time. I spend most of my spare time looking through cosy home decor snaps, Christmas food / decoration ideas (’tis the season to be jolly!) & style / beauty posts. I re-pin at a crazy speed & even categorize my boards. If there’s a Pinners Anonymous out there, please let me know!!

I spend a lot of evenings curled up on the sofa with my man watching my box set of Gossip Girl. I can’t get enough & no matter what he may say to others, I know my Mr enjoys it too. I also am not ashamed to admit that I have full on hair / face / everything envy of Blake Lively, #wcw every week or what!!

Also on the cards are a lot of hot chocolates, with all the trimmings (spray cream, marshmallows, sprinkles…the works! – Naughty!) which really isn’t helping me with my general health & fitness kick that I’m on, but I stand by ‘everything in moderation’ so I tell myself one a day won’t hurt. 😉

Not unlike my Pinterest fettish, I’ve been spending far too much of my evenings scrolling through Instagram & YouTube looking at beautiful people, teaching me how to create their polished looks (I try, but I fail). I love seeing what’s going on in the world of beauty & what products people are going mad over. I’m far too lazy / busy / broke to spend hours looking in the shops or online at what the latest beauty products out there are & I don’t like to spend out my money on new things unless they get rave reviews. So for that, Instagram & YouTube are perfect.

As Christmas is on it’s way *squee* I’ve also been spending a lot of time screen shopping, if you will. I’ve been making lists of present ideas for my nearest & dearest & my bookmark bar has never been so crammed with saved pages. I’ve had shopping carts a plenty full to the brim & the hours I’ve spent drooling over cosy knitted jumpers & gorgeous Christmas decorations, I will never get back – but it fills my days with happiness & excitement. – It’s never too early to get excited about xmas!

Last but not least – I’ve been really enjoying knitting. I know I’m no where near my 80’s yet, but I find it really relaxing & it’s so nice to actually wear something I’ve made – I’ll post pictures etc in another post soon. 🙂

So there we have it, a few of my favorite things to do on these cold, dark nights.
